RICHMOND, Va. – Sanil Jagtiani has been named Drexel’s Colonial Athletic Association’s Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The senior men’s tennis player, who is majoring in finance, has compiled an impressive 3.91 grade-point average.
Jagtiani has pieced together an impressive resume during his career at Drexel. He is currently tied for ninth in the program record book for singles wins and ninth in doubles wins. His overall singles record of 41-37 is ranked second-best on the team, and his 39-38 doubles record also is ranked second-best as well. Jagtiani has been a CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll recipient four times and an ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athlete twice.
Each of the CAA’s 10 institutions had a nominee for the CAA Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and they will be recognized with a crystal award. Kyle Frankel of Elon was named the 2020-21 Colonial Athletic Association Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year presented by Primis.
