Karnik Named CAA Men’s Swimmer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Drexel freshman Kacper Karnik has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Swimmer of the Week on Wednesday morning. The news was announced by the CAA office.

Karnik won two individual events, including the 100 breast (56.12) and the 200 breast (2:03.29) in the meet against Delaware. The freshman also helped the medley relay team finish first. In his leg of the race, Karnik finished with a split of 55.51. He also helped the free relay team take first with a lead-off time of 46.20.

Drexel swimming has completed its dual-meet schedule and is now preparing for the CAA Swimming Championships. The Women’s portion of the championships will start on Monday, March 29, and end on Wednesday, March 31. The Men’s Swimming portion will start on Thursday, April 1, and end on Saturday, April 3.

Drexel Diving has a meet scheduled for Friday, March 19 against Delaware. The first dive is at 4 p.m.
