Pastula Earns Second-Straight CAA Special Teams Player of the Week Honors

NEWARK, DEL. – Delaware football sophomore punter Tyler Pastula has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. It is the second-straight week that Pastula has earned the honor, recognizing his efforts in Delaware’s 24-3 victory over then-No. 20/23 William & Mary on Saturday.

Pastula averaged 47.8 yards on five punts in Saturday’s victory, raising his CAA-leading season average to 42.8 yards per punt. The Easton, Pennsylvania native had two punts over 50 yards, including his first punt which dropped inside William & Mary’s 20-yard line and was fumbled, leading to Delaware’s first touchdown.

The Blue Hens will head on the road on Saturday, November 13 for a CAA matchup at Richmond. Kickoff against the Spiders is set for 2 p.m. Delaware will return home for the regular-season finale on November 20 when the Blue Hens host Villanova. Tickets for that game can be purchased HERE.
