Buying an apartment in New York at the top price made the Portuguese superstar suffer a heavy loss after 7 years.

According to AS, Ronaldo has just sold an apartment at Trump Tower in New York for $7.28 million, accepting a loss of more than $11 million . In 2015, the Portuguese superstar spent $ 18.5 million to buy a 3-bedroom apartment in the most luxurious tower in New York.

This is two months after the owner of this tower, Donald Trump, announced his plan to run for President of the United States. SCMP said the purchase price was “at the top”, and Ronaldo suffered the consequences later.

In 2019, Ronaldo offered to sell this apartment for only half of the purchase price, but was unsuccessful. When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, the selling price of this apartment dropped to only $ 7.75 million, recorded on May 19, 2020. With Mr. Donald Trump no longer the US President, the price of CR7’s apartment is even lower. Finally, Ronaldo closed the selling price at 7.28 million USD.

With a loss of 60%, AS confirmed this is the biggest loss of investment of the Portuguese superstar ever.

Failure in the investment market goes hand in hand with Ronaldo’s poor performance at the moment. The Portuguese superstar is going through a difficult time with MU when he only scored 2 goals in the last 10 matches for the “Red Devils” in all competitions.

In the Premier League, Ronaldo’s MU is ranked 4th with 47 points after 27 matches, 2 points more than Arsenal but played 3 more matches. In the 1/8 Champions League round, MU drew Atletico Madrid 1-1 in Spain. Ronaldo has the lowest score in this match.
