The Gunners captain has spoken out after comments that the club tried to delay the match.
Last week, the Premier League organizers decided to postpone the clash between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur because the Emirates Stadium team did not have enough troops to prepare for this match.
Some Gunners stars such as Sead Kolasinac, Bukayo Saka, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Cedric Soares and Emile Smith Rowe are absent due to injury, while Martin Odegaard has to self-isolate due to Covid-19 infection. That is not to mention the case of players who are absent for attending AFCON, plus the suspension of Granit Xhaka.

Arteta and his students were unable to play in the North London derby.
However, many experts believe that this is just an excuse from the Arsenal leadership and they are wanting to delay an important match to wait for the pillars to return.
Before the above comments, coach Mikel Arteta spoke out affirming the honesty of the Emirates Stadium team. Sharing before meeting Liverpool in the EFL Cup semi-finals, the 39-year-old strategist affirmed:
“We will protect our club at all costs. We will not let anyone damage our name or try to spread false information.
We don’t have the players we need to play in a Premier League game. That’s 100% true. We postponed the game for all the right reasons.”
