Former centre-back Jamie Carragher said that continuing to stay with Liverpool would be a reasonable decision for the Egyptian star.

Klopp shares about Salah

Jamie Carragher shared, it would be a really crazy prospect if Mohamed Salah left Liverpool next summer. At the same time, Carragher also said that it is difficult for Roberto Firmino to return to the main squad considering the impressive form of Diogo Jota currently.

Talking to Optus Sport, the former England midfielder said (quoted by Metro):

“You could say every club wants Salah.”

Klopp is still facing the prospect of losing Salah.

“But, to get someone at 32 and give them a nice contract, when many of these teams could have Mbappe or Haaland, the young growing generation…”

“I think it would be crazy if Liverpool let Salah go , and I think Salah leaving Liverpool is also crazy, because this club and Jurgen Klopp have been fantastic for him.”

“For me, it’s still the same three strikers, just Jota and Firmino swapped positions. I think it will still be Salah, Jota in the middle and Sadio Mane in the left wing.”

“Diaz still has to give us more, but I think this will be the problem for next season.”

“I think it will be very difficult for Roberto Firmino to return to the front three because of the goals that Jota is scoring now, he is really great.”
