Coach Park Hang Seo was forced to make a change in personnel in the Vietnam team because To Van Vu was infected with Covid-19.

On the morning of March 12, midfielder To Van Vu of Binh Duong Club tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, so he was absent from the match against Hai Phong in the fourth round of the V-League 2022.

The Thanh Hoa player also missed the meeting with the Vietnamese team, because he had to isolate for about a week.

In order to have enough troops to practice and best prepare for the next two matches, Coach Park Hang Seo summoned additional player Chau Ngoc Quang instead of Van Vu.

Recruit Vietnam.

Chau Ngoc Quang is on HAGL’s staff but is currently on loan to Hai Phong. In the first 3 matches of the season, the player born in 1996 had a good performance and he was given the opportunity by coach Park Hang Seo.

This is not the first time Chau Ngoc Quang has worked with Coach Park Hang Seo. The player wearing the Hai Phong shirt was once in the U23 Vietnam squad to win the 2018 AFC U23 Championship runner-up.

In addition to Van Vu, goalkeeper Tan Truong has just said that he was re-infected with Covid-19, so he left open the possibility of recruiting in this gathering.

The Vietnamese team reunited on March 14, having 10 days of practice to prepare for the match against Oman at My Dinh home.
